Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems are wholly dependent on the cabling used to interconnect the drives and motors. Robust cables are required for reliable VFD systems. Selecting the incorrect cable can lead to system down-time and lost revenue. Additionally, sensitive instrumentation and the control circuits adjacent to the drive system can be disrupted, spreading the down-time to other equipment. These pitfalls can be avoided with the correct cable selection.
